Endrick Future in Doubt as Chelsea Circle Again
The Endrick future has become one of the summer’s quieter subplots at Real Madrid, and it flared up again this week as Chelsea re-entered the conversation. According to a report from Team Talk carried by Spanish outlet Bernabéu Digital, the Brazilian’s representatives have made fresh contact with the Premier League club to explore a possible loan for the 2026/27 season.
Chelsea’s interest is described as genuine and growing, but it comes with a clear condition. The London club would reportedly only move seriously if any loan included an option to buy — a scenario that does not match Real Madrid’s thinking. Los Blancos are said to prefer a straight loan with no clause that could hand Chelsea permanent control of the 19-year-old.
What Mourinho’s Gesture Says About the Endrick Future
On the pitch, José Mourinho hinted he is in no rush to lose him. During Friday’s 2-1 win over Ferencváros, the manager declined to substitute Endrick, instead withdrawing Brahim Díaz and shifting the forward to the right wing to bring on Carlos Espí. Bernabéu Digital read the move as a signal that Mourinho values the Brazilian’s mobility and pressing across the front line.
The picture is complicated by a crowded forward line. With Vinícius Júnior having just renewed his deal, minutes are at a premium, and Endrick still needs game time after an injury-hit spell. His camp held talks with Real Madrid over the weekend and, as Bernabéu Digital reported, the final call is far from settled with the window open until 31 August.
